Park is pretty run-down and it doesn't appear that anything is being done for upgrade. There are numerous sites that were flooded, but were unoccupied--I assume because it was off-season. There's strong potential these sites would not be pleasant if it rained during the active seasons. The site we had was on high ground with adequate space between sites and was very pleasant. There's plenty of openness for walking pets but no means to access the beach by walking. I don't recommend this park and won't stay here when I come back to this area.

Excellent park about 50 miles from DC. It's close to I-95 making travel to DC fairly easy, unless you want to go during rush hour (which could be any hour of the day or night) in which case it becomes difficult. The park is isolated from highway noise and is very quiet...but it's a good seven miles or so off the main road. The access road is narrow but I've been on worse. There's lots of shade and a small pond in the park. The sites are gravel and relatively level. WIFI is excellent and cable TV is acceptable. My wife and I like the park and would stay here again.

Excellent park close to DC. Sites are small...I needed to park my 35' rig cross-ways on the ramp and barely had enough room front-to-back. Park is quiet and even though there was a lot of rain, drainage was so good no water ever accumulated around my RV. Sites are not level--my rear wheels were off the ground as were a lot of other rig's wheels. There's no WIFI or cable TV but antenna TV is okay (not good--just okay). Very relaxed atmosphere without vigilante rule enforcement. I enjoyed my two-week stay and would stay again.

This KOA park is structured with pull-throughs in a row with little folage but the back-ins and tent sites are in the trees with lots of privacy. Both types are large, clean, reasonably level and offer the normal comforts. Since the park just opened on March 1st, there were few guests and was very quiet. The management just installed an awsome WIFI that's about the best I've ever used and doesn't require subscription fees. Rates are high but since it's close to the DC attractions, probably not too bad. I was disappointed that weekly rates aren't offered. There's hiking trails and the brochures indicate that shuttles are available to the DC areas but I chose to drive to the Metro which is about 5 miles away. I recommend the park and would stay here again.

This park is now called "South Forty RV Park". It is no longer affiliated with KOA although they still provide the KOA discount if requested. Roads are narrow, sites are not level, but there are lots of trees and a nice pond. The park is laid out well--not in a grid but in a manner that accents the natural curves of the land. Staff was pleasant and trash pickup was at each site. South Forty RV park appears to primarily cater to daily travelers--there were only a few RVs that appeared to be full time. I recommend it if you have good RV levelers and are just passing through.

Nice campground not too crowded during the winter rush. We were able to get last-minute reservations despite the late-February booking. The front half of the park appears to be permanent snow-birds; the back half for nightly and weekly travelers. The sites are very large, all grass with significant distance between neighboring sites. TV, even without cable, and cell reception were both excellent. There are lots of birds and plenty of opportunities to be up-close. It's close to Tampa (~30 minutes w/o traffic) and close to freeways but not so close that there's any noise. The only complaint was that access to the dumpsters was inconvenient. I would definitely stay here again.

This park greatly exceeded my expectations. From the time I began seeing billboards 200 miles away until I got there, I expected a mega-park with RV stacked together. Instead, I found a small park, lots of grass and shade, and plenty of room between sites. The roads were a little narrow but the sites had hookups on both sides allowing the RVer to face either way. It was surprising after all the miles of billboards that the RV park signs were somewhat hidden and access was behind other large buildings but that wasn't a significant drawback. Trash cans are located at every-other site--very convenient--and the showers and laundry were close. I wouldn't spend a lot of time here but it's a good park to stay in while passing through. Next time I'm in the area and it's time to stop, this will most likely be the place I stop at.

This is, by far, the nicest RV park in Montgomery Alabama. The park is new, clean, quiet, safe and close to everything in Montgomery and Wetumpka. Owner is enlarging park but there's already plenty of capacity for daily and weekly rentals. WIFI is free but service has been spotty; cable TV is excellent and includes the full range of channels available. Single trash dumpster is somewhat inconveniently located near office. Pet areas are easily accessable from every site. Management is friendly, helpful and not caught up in rule enforcement except for the first rule which is to treat other campers with respect. Capital City RV park's WEB site needs improvement; it doesn't provide for on-line reservations and fails to list prices. Regardless, I highly recommend this park and will stay here again when in Montgomery AL.

Stay here! This is one of the nicest parks we've been in and the only one I've ever ranked as a "10". Each site is isolated from the ones beside it, there's lots of trees and the park is CLEAN and quiet. Make sure you make reservations--it's hard to get a site without them. The beach is close and there's miles of beach to walk on. The only drawback is that although pets are allowed in the park they're not allowed on the beach, but it's a small sacrafice for such a nice park. There's no sewer hookup at the sites but there is a double dump station easily available in the park. Television reception on the antenna was good and cell phone service was five bars. We will definately stay here again.

Indian Forest Campground is within 10 minutes of St Augustine and within an hour of Daytona Beach. It's close to stores and other amenities for traveling RVers. The sites are grass and the roads gravel which is okay until it rains then the roads drain onto the grass and around the RVs. We sloshed through the grass for three days until the runoff dried. Cable is excellent, cellular service 3-4 bars but there is no WIFI. Very pet friendly with lots of places to walk dogs. Park is quiet and clean and the sites typically are large. We enjoyed our stay but think we could do better.

This is a nice park and very quiet. Maintenance is adequate--it appears they're keeping it natural in many ways. Roads and pads are sand as are most patches in the grass they attempt to grow around each site. Sites are LARGE. Internal roads are narrow and crooked but easy to maneuver. Residents and management are friendly and guest services above average. Television and cell phone reception is marginal; WIFI pretty much non-existant.

Fairly nice campground about 5 miles off I-10. Quiet, clean and well managed. Access roads are narrow but traffic is sparse. Convenient trash facilities. About half the park is set-aside for travelers; the other half contains vacant FEMA trailers for Katrina victims (why they're vacant, I'll never understand). Cable TV is mediocre...there's 7 or 8 cable channels but no local channels. Local channels are only available with an antenna. I hesitate to recommend it but would probably stay here again.

This is a great park if you like rustic parks--it's not concrete slab parking with swimming pools and hot tubs. The pads are paved with plenty of room between campers and each site has a covered table. There are two rows of pads; one with a view of Corpus Christi; the other with a view of the sand dunes. The Gulf of Mexico is just on the other side of the dunes, a quick 5 minute walk, and the beach is natural (expect seaweed, shells and wind-blown sand). TV and cell phone reception is good. There's no road noise and the only sound we heard was the wind blowing (yes, it seems to blow consistently). Staff seems laid-back, helpful and friendly. Despite misgivings after reading other reviews, I found Mustang Island State Park to be very enjoyable.

This park, also called "Garrett's RV Park and Golf Course", is a great overnight or weekend park. There's not a lot to do in the area besides play on the adjacent golf course, but it has a nice fishing pond, places for kids to play and nice walking areas for pets. Occupants were friendly and staff helpful. It's about an hour south of Houston and we found it very pleasant for the one night we stayed there.

Very nice, new park surrounded by desert, exceptionally clean, extra long cement pads convenient trash can placements throughout the park. Beautiful sunsets over the desert. Very pet friendly. Only negative--cable TV was limited and poor quality (management stated it was scheduled for an upgrade). Staff was friendly and helpful. Entertainment was provided on Friday nights; full breakfast cooked on Sundays for a nominal charge. We enjoyed the proximity to Tombstone and other sites in the area and ranked this campground in the top category of places we've stayed--we'd definately stay here again.

Nice, clean park with helpful, courteous staff. I used Passport America and received half price for the entire two weeks I stayed there. The park is about 20 minutes from Austin and convenient to most locations. The only complaint I had was that it was noisy...there's a lot of non-park traffic on the access road and the full-time residents seemed to feel it was important to leave diesel engines running while they checked mail and did other errands in the park office. Otherwise, no complaints. The individual pads are cement, level and long with nice green areas and plenty of trees (but no tables). Cable TV is excellent and pet facilities great. I enjoyed the visit and would stay there again.

Park is rustic and blends in with the desert. The roads and pads are dirt and most sites require a fair amount of rig leveling. There are separate areas for pets and non-pets and pets are absolutely not allowed, even walk-throughs, in the non-pet areas. I let my cat out one evening and received a note on my windshield in the morning. Despite the apparent non pet-friendly atmosphere, I enjoyed the park and would visit again. It's ten minutes from Tucson and convenient to everything in the area, including the national parks. Some of the sites are fairly tight but mine had tons of room and privacy. Staff is friendly and helpful.
